Croat for Croats

Launching in January 2026.

Croat for Croat is a humanitarian initiative created to provide the Croatian diaspora with a clear and transparent way to contribute to their homeland. Many Croatians abroad want to help, but do not have a reliable channel. This project makes that possible.

Purpose

The purpose of the Croat for Croat project is to strengthen ties between Croatians around the world by ensuring that aid goes directly to those who need it most. It is about unity, solidarity, and responsibility — Croat helping Croat.

First phase (2026)

In the initial phase, starting in January 2026, Croat for Croat will direct donations from the diaspora to carefully selected associations and organizations in Croatia and the Croatian regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Recipients will be chosen based on their proven ability to provide real, tangible results in helping families, youth, and communities.

Future development

The project will not stop at humanitarian aid. Over time, Croat for Croat will develop into a broader platform through which the diaspora will be able to actively invest in the future of Croatia , with goals such as:

Support for the education and development of young people.

Financing of cultural and social initiatives.

Assistance to local development projects.

Building a sustainable system in which Croats abroad become partners in the reconstruction of Croatia.

Goal

The ultimate goal of the Croat for Croat project is for the Croatian people — at home and abroad — to act as one community. Starting with direct humanitarian aid and evolving towards long-term investments, the project aims to leave a lasting mark and demonstrate the strength of Croats helping each other.
